Position Overview
Kufi Productions is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Developer to drive
growth and expand our reach in the media and broadcasting landscape. The ideal
candidate will be passionate about storytelling, equity, and the power of media to inspire
change. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic
partnerships, and maximizing revenue streams to support Kufi Productions' mission and
vision.
Key Responsibilities
● Business Growth and Strategy
o Develop and implement strategic plans to identify and secure new
revenue opportunities.
o Analyze industry trends, market demands, and competitive landscapes to
inform business decisions.
o Explore untapped markets and partnerships aligned with Kufi Productions'
mission.
● Partnership Development
o Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, advertisers, content
distributors, and other stakeholders.
o Identify collaboration opportunities with nonprofits, advocacy groups, and
organizations focused on social justice and community empowerment.
o Represent Kufi Productions at industry events, conferences, and
networking opportunities.
● Revenue Generation
o Develop and pitch customized media packages to potential clients and
sponsors.
o Collaborate with the creative and production teams to align business
opportunities with content initiatives.
o Drive advertising sales and content syndication deals.
● Brand Positioning
o Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to enhance Kufi
Productions' visibility and reputation in the media landscape.
o Contribute to storytelling campaigns that highlight the company's impact
and align with business development goals.
● Reporting and Analysis
o Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics for business
development activities.
o Provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimizing revenue
streams.
Qualifications
● Education and Experience
o Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Media Studies, or
related field (or equivalent experience).
o 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role
within the media or creative industry.
● Skills and Competencies
o Strong understanding of the media and broadcasting landscape,
particularly in diverse and underrepresented markets.
o Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills.
o Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
o Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
o Ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
o Familiarity with digital marketing, content distribution platforms, and
emerging technologies in media.
