I discovered MAS by following MAS Queens on Instagram. It was through one of their posts, promoting an Islamic convention held a week before Ramadan this year, that I learned about Reverts Reconnect. I volunteered as a babysitter during the convention, which allowed me to attend the event, gain valuable volunteer experience, and learn more about my faith without the cost of admission.
Attending the convention led to an invitation to a WhatsApp group, keeping me informed of future events. I quickly learned that MAS Queens offers an abundance of resources for the Muslim community, supporting individuals no matter their stage in life. They are particularly eager to help reverts find a welcoming and safe community, a true family. Many new converts, unfortunately, lack family or friends who are supportive of their decision, often due to misunderstanding or sheer ignorance. This makes communities like Reverts Reconnect vital for helping them hold steadfast to their faith.
