Isra Shajahan is a New Jersey-based photographer, writer, and project manager whose work explores empowerment, identity, and community. With over ten years of experience in film and digital photography, she captures events, portraits, and fashion with a focus on storytelling and social impact. Her art often addresses themes such as colorism, women’s empowerment, and cultural heritage. Isra’s work has been featured in Tribeza Magazine and on the cover of Sustain the Mag. Beyond photography, she organizes creative and poetry workshops in New York and New Jersey to support refugees from Gaza and foster collective healing through art. At Kufi Productions, she contributes event photography, poetry curation, as well as reviews on film and literature – highlighting the intersections of creativity and social justice.
